!!! WARNING !!!
Do not watch if you have a problem with hunting, processing,or curing fur!

I was looking for an informative video on how to preserve fur and came across a
great video on youtube so thought i would share with you all.

This video is intended for educational purposes!
No animal crudity is involved!

Ok so in this video i begin the process from the rear cutting at the legs then working my way down towards the tail.
Once the tail have been cut and pulled by the tail bone you can pull straight down and work the fur to the head.
From there you want to pull and cut out the front arms.
You can cut off both ears with the fur or just pull the fur away from the ears.
I did not keep the feet but you can if you believe in luck and i did keep the tail which does not need to be dried out.

Gutting is easy just make sure you do not split the intestine inside the rabbit if you do then make sure you clean really well if you are going to eat.
Check for ticks/worms easy to spot if you find i wouldn't eat unless you really had to!

TANNING THE FUR
There are many methods to do this and so many ways/kits or tricks.
I basically tan the fur the easy old fashion way,
just using salt no brains no oil.
I scrap all the membranes off the inner area opposite of the fur then i pin to a board and layer the flesh area with salt,
ill let dry for 5 hrs with the salt then wash the fur in cold soapy water then pin the hide to the board again then re-salt and let dry out for 24hrs,
Do not leave out side unless you want ants or birds to destroy it!
Wash off blow dry and your ready to frame.
